The Clare Valley is not an easy place to just pop up for a visit on a whim. A four-hour round trip requires some pre-planning and a day dedicated to the event.

City Cellar Door will be held monthly at the National Wine Centre, Corner of Botanic and Hackney Roads, starting this Friday, 10 March, from 4pm – 8:30pm.

With that said, it’s worth the trip to experience one of South Australia’s finest wine regions, but it would be so much easier if the wine would come to you.

For this exact cause, the National Wine Centre is bringing Clare Valley’s Skillogalee Winery into the CBD for the first in its monthly series of City Cellar Door events.

Joining the folks from Skillogalee will be McLaren Vale’s Hither & Yon (not quite as far away, but we’re not going to argue against convenience), so you can compare for yourself the wares of the different regions, either by glass, bottle, or tasting flight.

Entry is free, which is significantly less than a 135km drive.
