CityMag Style Sample #04: The sneaker sample

Aug 12, 2016, updated Jun 04, 2025

This week, we’ve been looking at your feet.

It’s the second week of August, and we’re under the pump. There are meetings to be had, deadlines to be met, people to see and places to go, and we don’t have time for uncomfortable shoes.

Our daytime shoes need not cramp our calves nor pinch our little toes, so we express style in simpler ways: the green on the tongue of a pair of Stan Smith classics, the nostalgic return of a Dunlop Volley, the slight platform of a statement McQueen sneaker, the flash of the ankle and the hint of a sock. We may not be Milan, but our sneaker game is strong.
