“By suppressing your dominant sense, sight, you will enter a world where you re-evaluate the notions of taste and smell at this unique food and wine event,” The Facebook event claims.
It’s a far less creepy premise than the dating show, plus the event will raise funds for Can:Do 4Kids, so why not strip your self of a sense, don a blindfold, and embark on the intriguingly described “gastronomic safari”.
Tickets to the Friday, 17 June event are sold out, but if you’d still like to make a contribution to the charity, whose focus is on deaf, hearing impaired, blind or vision impaired children, you can do so here.
