Five South Australian design firms have been shortlisted across 9 nominations in five of the seven available categories – some projects attracting multiple nods, for built form as well as graphic identity.
Sans-Arc and studio -gram have the highest likelihood of taking home an award when they’re announced on 18 November 2020, with both companies attracting multiple nominations.
They’re joined by RAD-Studio, Design People, Peculiar Familia, and Uppercase Studio.
The Eat Drink Design Awards were founded to support innovation an excellence in hospitality design and are endorsed by the Australian Institute of Architects and the Design Institute of Australia.
The Awards recognise the experience of dining out is more than the sum of ingredients organised on a plate.
The physical design of a space, when executed well, can foster intimate evenings, bustling conversations, or backdrop a raucous pre-party, complementing the tone of the restaurant itself.
Adelaide’s hospitality scene has undergone a coming of age over the last decade, and the calibre of design in our restaurants, bars and cafés is testament to this.
